In the afternoon of 11 October, the closing ceremony and prize award of “Green Sunday” writing competition and “Say no to plastic bags and single-use plastics” movement was held at the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee. The competition was launched by Thua Thien Hue Portal and Thua Thien Hue Development Study Institute.

On October 1, the international workshop on “Stakeholder meeting and cooperation possibility for smart sustainable city” was held in Hue City in the framework of the project on Sustainability Alliance of Urban networks in Asian cities (SAUNAC). The project members are 6 Vietnamese universities including the Faculty of Environmental Science of the University of Sciences, Hue University and 5 European universities.

In the afternoon of 20 September, Assoc. Prof Hoang Van Hien, Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University had a meeting with the delegates from NPO – Traditional Japanese Culture Manners Meister Association led by Mr. Amemiya Norio, the President of NPO.

Participants from the University of Sciences, Hue University attended the Kick-off meeting sponsored by Erasmus+ with the theme “Enhancing Digital Capacities in Higher Education for Asian Universities” at the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.

In the morning of 12 September, the Opening Ceremony of Eco-week Campaign 2019, “Responsible Tourism” was organized at University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC).

During the two days of September 9 and 10, the training workshop on Curriculum Design and Pedagogy in Higher Education, was held at the room KH2, University of Sciences, Hue University.

On August 12, the MOU signing ceremony between University of Sciences, Hue University and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMIL) was organized at University of Sciences, Hue University.

On July 17, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Vice Rector of Hue University of Sciences had the meeting with representatives from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

On July 9, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Rector of Hue University of Sciences (HUSC) welcomed the delegates of the project on sending Information Technology students to Japan for their internship and graduation thesis.

On May 2^nd, Hue University of Sciences had the meeting with Prof. Aoki Shinichi from Sojo University, Japan.

On April 26th, Job Fair 2019 was held at Hue University of Sciences (HUSC). Attending the event, there was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan, Vice director of Thua Thien Hue Job Service Center – Co-organizer, representatives of 33 agencies and enterprises taking part in recruitment. On the side of HUSC, participants were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, Chief organizer; Assoc. Prof. Ha Van Hanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Member of the Standing Party Committee, Vice Rector; together with staff and students from faculties and functional offices.

During the two days of April 25 and 26, 2019, Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences (HUSC), Hue University collaborated with various sponsors to organize the \"Architecture Festival\". The festival attracted more than 30 organizations in the field of architecture and construction to participate in event.

On April 20, the 11th National Conference on Geography with the theme “Vietnam’s Scientific Geography serving the sustainable development in the Industry revolution 4.0” was held at Hue University.

On April 10, Assoc.Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University had a meeting with the delegates from Tartu University, Estonia led by Dr. Elo Süld – Director of the Asia Center.

On March 18, Prof. Hiroshi Matsuda (former Vice President of Yamaguchi University) visited Hue University of Sciences. Attending the meeting, there were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Vice Rector; Dr. Tran Huu Tuyen, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Geology and other members; and Dr. Nguyen Truong Tho, Head of the Office for Science – Technology & International Relations.
