The Workshop “Social Welfare Policies, Practices and Care Workers in Vietnam” organized in Japan.
During the period from January 15 to January 19, 2020, receiving the invitation of the President of Yutaka Social Welfare Corporation, Nagoya, Japan, Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, Vice Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University had a visit and worked with company leaders in Japan. Attending the workshop, there were Dr. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong - Dean, Faculty of Social Work, MA. Bui Quang Dung – Vice Dean of Social Work Faculty.
On 16 January 2020, the HUSC delegation paid a visit to Aikouen Welfare Company: The Company operates on a philosophy that everyone can protect human rights, a society where each person can feel peaceful and willingly help each other. HUSC delegates were introduced to various field of the company including counseling support, assistance for disable children, job for the disable and their daily activities and taking care of old people based one AIOI insurance as well.
On 17 January 2020, HUSC delegation visited the Yutaka Social Welfare Corporation located in Nagoya City, Aichi Province. Here, the delegation also visited the Recycling Company Minami Sagyosyo and other companies and organizations that help disable and vulnerable people.
On 18 February 2020, the workshop “Social Welfare Policies, Practices and Care Workers in Vietnam” was organized at Nagoya Port Building. At the workshop, Mr. Seikaka Suzuki, President of Yutaka Social Welfare Corporation gave a speech to welcome the delegates from HUSC and more than 200 distinguished guesses. On behalf of Rectorate Board, Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, Vice Rector of HUSC highly appreciated the effective cooperation between HUSC and Japanese partners in recent years through different fields of training human resources related to information technology, architecture … and hoped that there would be more successful collaboration in the field of Social work including, creating the conditions for HUSC students to take part in short training course to support the disable and the old people; cooperate in training programs associated with specific subjects; proceed to recruit Social Work students to work in Japan.
There were 4 presentations focusing on the social welfare laws and policies; practices and care workers for the disable and old people in Vietnam. Dr. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong, Dean, Faculty of Social Work had the presentation “Polices and Practice on the disability and social care in Vietnam”.
The leaders of two sides will continue to discuss about the cooperation contents and sign the memorandum of understanding in the near future.
