Launch of the STEAM & AI Center at the University of Sciences, Hue University

Attending the ceremony there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City; Mr. Nguyen Kim Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hue City; Mr. Doan Minh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hue City; Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Vice President of Hue University; Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of the University of Sciences; along with members of the university leadership; representatives of affiliated units; leaders of local primary, secondary, and high schools; as well as technology enterprises and related organizations.

The STEAM & AI Center was established to foster an innovative learning environment that combines theoretical foundations with hands-on practice, enabling students to explore and apply knowledge across science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The Center also prioritizes activities in robotics - ranging from robot design and programming to operation - as well as the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning, research, and everyday life.

During its initial phase, the Center will offer a variety of courses and experiential programs tailored to different learner groups, including robotics programming and control; AI courses for K–12 students; project-based STEAM creativity courses; one-day experiential activities; workshops; and robotics innovation competitions for school students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of the University of Sciences, emphasized: “The STEAM & AI Center is not only a place for learning but also a creative space that connects students’ passion for science with real-world technology, contributing to the development of a dynamic, innovative, and globally minded digital generation.”

With the motto “Learning through Experience - Creating to Lead,” the STEAM & AI Center is expected to emerge as a pioneering and reputable institution for STEAM and AI education in Hue City. The Center will serve as a vital bridge connecting the University of Sciences with schools, businesses, and organizations across the Central Region and beyond, fostering a culture of innovation and contributing to the advancement of well-rounded, high-quality education.

The establishment of the STEAM & AI Center marks a significant milestone in the development strategy of the University of Sciences, Hue University, reaffirming its leading role in technology adoption, teaching innovation, and the cultivation of high-quality human resources for the digital era.
