Welcoming the delegation from the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University (Japan)
On the afternoon of July 11, 2025, the delegation from the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University (Japan), paid a visit and had a meeting with the University of Sciences, Hue University.
Representing Kyoto University were Professor Mikiko Ono, Professor Yasuyuki Minamiyama, and Professor Shoichiro Hara – distinguished experts from the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. From the University of Sciences, Hue University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong – Head of the Office of Science, Technology, and International Relations, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sy, M.A. – Director of the Center for Information and Library, together with several key staff members.
During the meeting, both parties discussed prospective directions for cooperation in the field of Research Data Management (RDM), particularly in the context of the growing number of international collaborative research projects between Vietnam and Japan. The discussions were conducted within the framework of the NEXUS-Y technology program, funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
This meeting provided an opportunity for the two institutions to enhance mutual understanding, share experiences in research data management, and open up practical avenues for future cooperation. It is expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of scientific research and the promotion of international integration at the University of Sciences, Hue University.
