Faculty of Mathematics Students Achieve Impressive Results at 2025 National Mathematics Olympiad

The 2025 National Mathematics Olympiad, co-organized by the Vietnam Mathematical Society and Saigon University, took place in Ho Chi Minh City and attracted over 650 students from more than 90 universities and academies across the country.

A team of outstanding students from the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Sciences, Hue University, represented the university at this year’s competition. They were carefully selected and rigorously trained under the guidance of Dr. Bui Van Chien (team leader), Mr. Nguyen Du Thai (Calculus), and Ms. Nguyen Duy Ai Nhan (Algebra).

With their dedication and strong performance, the team achieved notable results in Category A - the advanced track for universities with strong mathematics programs:

🏆 Consolation Prize in Algebra: Hoang Kim Thien

The 2025 National Mathematics Olympiad also marked a milestone as it gained official recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training as a national-standard competition. With tougher grading and 10% fewer awards than in previous years, the achievements of the University of Sciences, Hue University team are all the more impressive.

 These certificates and medals not only recognize the students’ hard work and perseverance, but also reflect their passion for academic excellence and the growing reputation of the Faculty of Mathematics and University of Sciences, Hue University in Vietnam’s academic community.
