Reception of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam
On August 15, 2024, Mr. CHU TO MING, Head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, and other members of the Office visited and worked with the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC). Accompanying the delegation was Dr. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, Hue University.
From HUSC, there were Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector; Dr. Tran Thanh Luong, Head of the Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs Office; and Dr. Tran Thi Phuong An, Vice Head of the Office for Science, Technology, and International Relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the possibilities for cooperation in education and introduced information about Taiwan's education system and scholarship programs for Vietnamese students.
Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of the University, warmly welcomed the delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam. He also talked about the University's collaborations with Taiwanese universities and research institutes since 2010, such as National Chi Nan University, National Taichung University, Kun Shan University, Tainan, National Cheng Kung University, and National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Additionally, he mentioned the visit of Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of the University of Sciences, went to Taiwan to attend the 101st Anniversary Celebration of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and had a meeting with National Central University (NCU).
Hopefully, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office and the University of Sciences will promote cooperative opportunities to implement educational, scientific research, and technology transfer activities between Taiwanese universities and the University of Sciences.
