The introduction of project research from Assoc. Prof. Asano Satoshi
On December 13, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Asano Satoshi from the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, Japan, paid a visit to the University of Sciences, Hue University, and presented the research project in the fields of biodiversity, biology, environment, GIS, and other social issues to the lecturers, researchers from the Faculties of Environmental Science, Biology, and Geography-Geology of the University of Sciences.
The talk was about Ecological indicators in terms of Biology, Environmental conservation, Eco-tourism, Biodiverdity, Social studies, GIS. In actitivies regarding environmental conservations, local people require “small goal” of activities. In such case, researchers can propose appropriate indicators to their activities or fields. In his talk, Assoc. Prof. Asano Satoshi showed some quantitative surveys for seeking ecological indicators.
Young lecturers and researchers under the age of 40 can propose related research topics and receive funding in accordance with Seeds funding. The discussion sparked numerous ideas for interdisciplinary collaboration among the parties. After the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Asano Satoshi visited the related faculties to promote future research collaboration.
