Reception of Prof. Detlef Briesen, Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU), Germany
On the morning of September 13, the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC), hosted a working session with professors from JLU, Germany, and the American University in Vietnam (AUV) to exchange ideas on academic activities.
Attending the meeting, from HUSC, there were Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector; Dr. Tran Thi Phuong An, Deputy Head of Office for Science Technology and International Relations; as well as leaders and representatives from the following academic faculties: Environmental Science, Architecture, Geography and Geology, Chemistry, Sociology and Social Work, and Literature and History.
Representing the partner institutions, there were Prof. Detlef Briesen, Professor at the University of Giessen and visiting lecturer at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi, and Prof. David Pickus from the American University in Vietnam.
During the session, both sides engaged in discussions on key topics in preparation for the 2025 International Conference, including invitations for international guests, procedural aspects of organizing the event, as well as the conference's organizational structure.
The conference will adopt an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach, fostering wider participation from scholars, scientists, and researchers. In the coming months, both sides will continue their discussions, finalize key details, and take the necessary steps to prepare for the conference in 2025.
