Kick off the international master's program in life science and environment
On March 30, 2024, the Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology of Okayama University, Japan (referred to as OU-ELST), and the University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) and the University of Sciences (HUSC), Hue University signed the agreement to promote the international master’s program.
The parties will develop the International Master’s Program in Environmental and Life Sciences for Planetary Health (OVIMP). Four first-year graduate students from HUAF and HUSC who achieve outstanding academic performance and meet the requirements in terms of expertise and language proficiency will be transferred to the second year of study at OU-ELST (Japan), continue their study and research program to obtain a Master's degree from Okayama University. Okayama University will provide full scholarships (including tuition and living expenses) during the students’ stay in Japan. In addition, eight students will be considered for partial scholarships (covering tuition fees only), accommodation and travel expenses will be paid by the students themselves.
The Okayama-Hue International Master's Program in Sustainability of Rural and Environmental Systems, within the framework of cooperation between Okayama University and Hue University, had just completed 15 training courses with 117 graduates, of whom approximately 70% pursued doctoral programs in Japan and other nations.

Out of a total of approximately 15,000 students, there are over 3,000 postgraduate students and approximately 1,000 international students at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
