Students of the Faculty of Information Technology were awarded the first prize at Code War 2019 competition and third prize at ACM/ ICPC in Central Vietnam

Code War 2019 is a nationwide programming contest co-organized by Vietnam Students Association and FPT Software company limited. With the theme “Code your life”, the competition attracted the participation of many students nationwide who are interested in programming and technology.

The students of the Faculty of Information Technology, Hue University of Sciences were Nguyen Quoc Cuong (K40), Hoang Khanh Quan (K40) and Ha Xuan Man (K41). They named EzGame for their team and were instructed by the lecturer Mr. Tran Viet Khoa. During the competition in September and October 2019, the students competed on the exam system and took the online programming test on the Code Learn system (at https://codelearn.io/) which was built and developed by FPT Software Productivity Improvement Department. Then, the teams would write a programming with the selected language including C++; C#; JAVA; JavaScript; Python 2; Python 3 to solve the situations created by the organizers. The preliminary rounds consisted of 8-10 tests through 4 rounds.

Among 50 teams, the team of Hue University of Sciences was awarded the first prize in Central Vietnam and ranked the fifteenth nationwide.

At the same time, other team of Hue University of Sciences instructed by Mr. Nguyen Viet Khoa was awarded the third prize in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC ASIA Da Nang) in Central Vietnam with the participation of more than 350 teams.
