Scientific Conference: Application of Geospatial Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Agricultural Management to Support the Development Direction of Agriculture 4.0 in Quang Binh Province
On October 3, 2023, at Department of Science and Technology, University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) organized a scientific conference titled “Application of Geospatial Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Agricultural Management to Support the Development Direction of Agriculture 4.0 in Quang Binh Province”.
Attending the conference, there were representatives from the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Information and Communications, shrimp farming household representatives from Hai Ninh commune in Quang Ninh district, the leadership of HUSC and the members of research team as well.

The scientific conference is part of the implementation of the scientific and technological project titled “Application of Geospatial Technology and Artificial Intelligence for Agricultural Management to Support the Development Direction of Agriculture 4.0 in Quang Binh Province”. This project has been managed by HUSC and Assoc. Prof Nguyen Quang Tuan serving as the principal investigator. Its goal is to apply geospatial technology and artificial intelligence to assess the current status and potential for the development of high-tech agricultural production in Quang Binh Province; Developing a database framework for the advancement of Agriculture 4.0; Creating a framework for smart agriculture applications; Establishing a tailored model for Agriculture 4.0 specific to shrimp farming; Proposing diverse strategies for the progress of Agriculture 4.0 in Quang Binh Province.
The research project has been carried out since August 2022, and the fundamental research outcomes have been accomplished in accordance with the project proposal. This includes a range of activities such as data collection, data processing, information analysis, and data analysis; Applying geospatial technology to assess the potential for developing high-tech agriculture in Quang Binh Province; Constructing a database framework to support the development of Agriculture 4.0 in the province; Creating a framework for smart agriculture applications; Developing a model specific to shrimp farming; Applying IoT systems for advanced aquaculture practices aligning with high-tech agricultural production; Developing the intelligent virtual assistant system QBSA to assist users in aquaculture in Quang Binh. Based on this, participants provided feedback on aspects that the project has not addressed and proposed solutions to enhance its completeness.
Speaking at the end of conference, the project leader acknowledged and highly appreciated the viewpoints expressed by the participants. Taking into account these valuable contributions, the management organization will further research and enhance the project to ensure its completeness.
