Attending the event, there were Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of HUSC; Dr. Tran Thi Phuong An Deputy Head, Office for Science-Technology and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Do Quang Thien, Dean of Faculty of Geology and Geography; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Vice Dean of Faculty of Geology and Geography and other lecturers from the faculty.

At the meeting, Prof. Erich Bauer had a brief introduction about Graz University of Technology, Austria and research directions in the field of geotechnical construction that has been increased by Prof. Erich during the time he has developed the cooperation with various universities in Asia such as Vietnam and China.

In addition, Prof. Erich also presented about the different academic exchange programs and research projects funded by the Austrian Government. These programs will invite the professors from Graz University to support laboratory testing and technical models building… He provided information about the Austria’s scholarships, research grants for international students as well (please see details at the links below).

Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of HUSC thanked Prof. Erich for his supports and affirmed that his visit to HUSC would be a great benefit for Faculty of Geology and Geography as well as HUSC students. This is also the precursor for a long-term
collaboration between HUSC (Vietnam) and TU Graz (Austria) for present and future.
