In April 2022, Prof. Kobayashi Hirohide of the School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University was recognized as a honorable professor by Hue University. The professor has a long-term collaboration with the University of Sciences and has made a significant contribution to the doctoral training for lecturers of the Faculty of Architecture. Prof. Kobayashi has participated in many researches in the fields of architecture, culture and heritage preservation in Thua Thien Hue and the Central Vietnam with lecturers of the Faculty of Architecture. He has co-authored approximately thirty scientific works (publications, articles) with Hue University’s scientists.

Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector, welcomed the visit of Professor Kobayashi Hirohide and hoped that he and Kyoto University, Japan would continue and advance cooperation activities with the University of Sciences, particularly after a difficult period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the meeting, Prof. Kobayashi Hirohide will work with the Faculty of Architecture and have a visit to Katu ethnic architecture in Dong Giang and Tay Giang districts, Quang Nam province and visit a community house in Hong Ha commune, A Luoi district./.
