University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with FPT Software Company

Attending the MoU signing ceremony, from HUSC, there were: Assoc.Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, Vice Rector of HUSC, Dr. Tran Thanh Luong, Head of Office for Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Ha, Dean of Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Phan Hai Phong, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Material Technology; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tung, Dean, Faculty of Architecture. From FPT Software Company, there were: Mr. Le Hong Linh, Director of FPT Software Central Region; Mr. Le Xuan Loc, Director of FDN-FPT Software; and Mr. Trinh Minh Viet, in charge of establishing FPT Software branch in Hue City.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuyen shared with FPT Software Company about the HUSC’s strategies in cooperation with businesses. In fact, the cooperation between the two parties began in 2012, when FPT Software sent lecturers to Hue to support teaching and offer an IT Lab for the University. Assoc. Dr. Tran Ngoc Tuyen said: “With the articles that FPT will participate in 30% of training curriculum, the signing of the MOU, therefore affirms the long-term and extensive cooperation relationship between two units. Not only assisting more than 2,000 students who need IT internships, FPT also helps HUSC update its training program every year.” Through the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Ha formally thanked FPT for sponsoring HUSC students have opportunities to participate in OJT (On Job Training) courses, and organizing contests and helping them closer approach to businesses. Mr. Le Hong Linh, Director of FPT Software Central Region informed that Director Board of FPT Corporation has agreed to establish the FPT Software's branch in Hue as well as the plan to develop the company's resources from 2023-2028.

After discussing, the two organizations signed the MOU focusing on career orientation, vocational training and recruit training program between HUSC and the company in order to strengthen and promote the strengths of each side. Accordingly, HUSC will create the best conditions for FPT Software Company to approach and recruit graduate students. Meanwhile, FPT Software Company will launch some workshops on jobs, career orientation and corporate culture for IT students; create favorable conditions for them to visit the working environment as well as open up intern and career opportunities. In addition, the both parties will jointly set up the extra-curricular activity for the forth-year students and cooperate in academic training and technology research
