Working with Japanese Social Welfare Corporations

On 6th September 2022,  Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) had a meeting with the representatives of  Japanese Social Welfare Corporations under the cooperation program related to human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam.

On 6th September 2022,  Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) had a meeting with the representatives of  Japanese Social Welfare Corporations under the cooperation program related to human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam.

Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Suzuki Seikaku, President of Social Welfare Corporation Yutaka Welfare Society; Mr. Kondo Masaomi, President of Social Welfare Corporation Nagoya Lighthouse; Mr. Hidaka Keiji, President of Social Welfare Corporation Aikouen; Mr. Ogahara Shoji, President of Social Welfare Corporation Corp Aichi; Prof. Ryuhei Sano, Hosei University, Japan; Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of HUSC; Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Truong Tho, Head of Office for Science-Technology and International Relations; Dr. Tran Thanh Luong, Head of Office for Graduate and Student Affairs; Dr. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong, Head of Social Work Department.

MOU between HUSC and Japanese Social Welfare Corporations was signed in September 2000 aiming at developing the human resource in the field of social care and healthcare in Japan and Vietnam. Accordingly, there have been 2 training courses on social care held at the University of Sciences, in which 2 students have been to Japan to study and work. In addition, six students are preparing for papers to study in Japan next time. Three officials of the HUSC were also invited to visit and work with Japanese partners in 2020.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of HUSC welcomed the delegates from Japanese Social Welfare Corporations to visit and work with the University. The Rector highly appreciated the effectiveness and quality of cooperation programs between the two sides in the past time and hoped to receive more active cooperation and supports from Japanese Social Welfare Corporations according to MOU signed, including: organize training programs on social care; exchange of staffs, students and employees among the parties; improve professional capacity for staff, lecturers and students; compile training materials; share and support training facilities and equipment…

Mr. Suzuki Seikaku - President of Social Welfare Corporation Yutaka sincerely thanked the HUSC for the warm welcome. He also wished to have a long-term cooperation with the University in terms of training and practice in the field of social work. In particular, Mr. Suzuki and other representatives of social welfare corporations have also committed to supporting HUSC students have chances to study and work in Japan. In addition, Japanese Social Welfare Corporations will also continue to support equipment used for training in the HUSC.
