The Rector warmly welcomed the delegation of Embassy of Italy to Vietnam

Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung expressed his pleasure and honor to welcome the delegation of the Italian Embassy and his appreciation to Italian Government and the Italian Embassy in Vietnam for helping and facilitating the University of Sciences to implement the Protocol Project “The research of orientated solutions to preserve national cultural heritage associated with tourism development in Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces on the basic of information technology application” 2022-2024).

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Antonio Alessandro, Italian Ambassador in Vietnam sincerely thanked the University of Sciences for the warm welcome. He also affirmed the tight relationship between Vietnam and Italy, as well as committed to promote and strengthen cooperation between educational institutions in the country with those in Italy. In addition, Mr. Antonio Alessandro indicated that the cooperation between two sides was not only in the academic field but also focused on advanced solutions to protect the environment and respond to climate change, etc. for the sustainable development and he expected that the protocol project would have positive results and contributions in the coming time.

GS. Marco Abbiati introduced bilateral cooperation programs in science and technology, scholarship opportunities for student and staff exchanges to improve capacity through short-term and long-term courses, study and research programs at Italian universities, research institutes. The protocol project between Italy and Vietnam is always prioritized and supported by the Embassy of Italy to Vietnam because the conservation of cultural heritage has been taken into consideration.

Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien, project coordinator thanked the Embassy of Italy to Vietnam and looked forward to receiving the support of the Embassy of Italy, especially Mr. Antonio Alessandro and Prof. Marco Abbiati relating to the cooperation between the University of Sciences and the Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy; and committed to building and developing cooperation with many stakeholders to promote the success of the project.

Mr. Antonia Alessandro expected to organize the third Educational Forum between Italy and Vietnam by 2023 in the framework of the 50^th year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Italy and assign Hue University of Sciences in coordination with Polytechnic University of Marche to organize this Forum.
