Student Exchange on “The Role of Students in Environmental Protection Efforts”

On the morning of 17 October 2025, the session on “The Role of Students in Environmental Protection Efforts” was held at Hall A1, organized in collaboration between the TVA/WWF Project Vietnam and the Youth Union of the University of Sciences, Hue University.

At the event, a representative from the TVA Project shared with students the importance of waste segregation at source, the impacts of plastic waste, and effective community-based solutions for reducing plastic pollution. Students also engaged in lively discussions on cultivating a green lifestyle and the role of technology, creativity, and mass media in promoting environmental awareness.

Several outstanding initiatives were highlighted, particularly the “Straw’s Journey” project funded by TVA, which has generated significant positive impacts in practice.

A notable development at the event was the establishment of the “Green Life Volunteer” group, which includes many HUSC students and aims to protect the beauty of the Huong River banks and lead a campaign to reduce plastic waste.

The session not only enhanced students’ awareness and sense of responsibility for environmental protection but also inspired them to take concrete actions toward building a clean and green environment on campus.
