Opening of a training course for occupational safety and hygiene trainers at the University of Sciences, Hue University
On 22 June 2026, the National Center for Occupational Safety and Hygiene (Department of Employment, Ministry of Home Affairs) coordinated with the University of Sciences, Hue University, to open a training course for occupational safety and hygiene (OSH) trainers at the University. The course aims to train a team of instructors who will conduct OSH training for various categories of workers in accordance with the 2015 Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, Decree No. 44/2016/NĐ-CP (as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 140/2019/NĐ-CP), and Circular No. 31/2018/TT-BLĐTBXH.
In addition to lecturers from the Faculty of Environmental Science, University of Sciences, participants in the course also included trainees from enterprises and organizations in the Central region, such as the HiTech High-Technology Testing and Training Center (Quang Ngai), Dung Quat Industrial College (Quang Ngai), Thien An Phat Textile Investment Joint Stock Company (Hue), Quang Tri Minerals Joint Stock Company, and Universal Alloy Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The course will run from 22 to 27 June 2026, taught by lecturers from the National Center for Occupational Safety and Hygiene. Trainees will study 4 content groups (comprising: the legal and policy framework on OSH; OSH professional practice; specialized training; and training skills) and will take an examination to be granted a certificate.
In the context of the still complex situation of occupational accidents and diseases in 2025, strengthening OSH training for workers in particular, and related groups in general, continues to be identified as one of the important measures to improve the situation in the coming period, according to the annual report of the Ministry of Home Affairs No. 2477/TB-BNV dated 19 March 2026.
