HUSC Confers Degrees on 8 New PhDs and 175 Master’s Graduates
On the morning of January 10, 2026, the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) solemnly held a graduation ceremony to confer doctoral and master’s degrees upon postgraduate candidates who successfully completed their programs in 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Bui Van Loi, Acting Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Director of Hue University, Dr. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Vice President of Hue University. Representing HUSC were Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector; members of the Board of Rectors; leaders of faculties and functional offices; academic supervisors; families of the graduates; and all newly conferred PhD and master’s degree recipients.
On this occasion, HUSC officially conferred degrees on 8 new PhDs and 175 master’s graduates across a wide range of disciplines. Most graduates attained Good or Excellent classifications, with none ranked at an average level - an outcome that further affirms the University’s prestige and the quality of its postgraduate training. These graduates form a highly qualified workforce, well prepared to contribute to science and technology, education, and socio-economic development, particularly in the Central and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung extended his congratulations to the new graduates, noting that the ceremony marks not only the recognition of their dedication and academic perseverance, but also the beginning of a new journey of knowledge creation and service to society. He reaffirmed that postgraduate education remains a strategic pillar of the University’s development, closely associated with digital transformation, the enhancement of research quality, and international integration.
University leaders also expressed their sincere appreciation to the Hue University Board of Presidents, functional units, academic staff, supervisors, and the families of the graduates for their continued support and encouragement throughout the study and research process.
The ceremony was held in a solemn, warm, and meaningful atmosphere, further underscoring HUSC’s role and standing in training high-quality human resources to meet the country’s sustainable development needs in the new era.
