University of Sciences, Hue University Visits and Works with the International School, VNU
On January 6, a delegation from the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC), paid an official working visit to the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-IS). The meeting took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, with discussions centered on practical avenues for cooperation in training, scientific research, and innovation.
The HUSC delegation was headed by Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, Vice Rector, together with Assoc. Prof. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong, Head of the Office for Science, Technology and International Relations. On the VNU-IS side, the delegation was led by Dr. Dao Tung, Vice Rector, accompanied by representatives of the School’s functional units.
During the working session, the two sides exchanged views on key areas of potential cooperation, including innovative models for entrepreneurship and innovation education; capacity building and professional development for academic staff; the training of core faculty members; and the integration of entrepreneurship into academic curricula. The discussions also covered experiences in research support policies, international publication development, project formulation and implementation, strategies for attracting international scholars, as well as operational models of innovation ecosystems and technology transfer aligned with practical and societal needs.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen highly appreciated the governance model and innovation-driven initiatives implemented by VNU-IS, and expressed HUSC’s interest in studying and adapting these practices in line with its institutional context. Dr. Dao Tung shared that VNU-IS is currently strengthening and refining mechanisms to support entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology transfer, and affirmed the School’s readiness to share its experiences, development roadmaps, and related policy frameworks.
The visit contributed to further strengthening institutional ties and laid a solid foundation for sustainable and effective cooperation between the two institutions in the coming years.
