From 26 to 27 December 2025, the University of Sciences, Hue University, organized the training program entitled “Research Proposal Writing and Scientific Publication Skills” for the University’s staff members, lecturers, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates.

Attending the training program were Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Party Secretary and Chair of the University Council; Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector; Associate Prof. Dr. Pham Khac Lieu, Former Director of the Department of Science, Technology and International Corporation; Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Khieu, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry; Assoc. Prof. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong, Head of the Office of Science, Technology and International Relations, together with a large number of staff members, lecturers, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized the significance and importance of enhancing research capacity, research proposal development skills, and scientific publication competence in the context of higher education reform and international integration. He expressed his expectation that the training program would provide practical support for staff members, lecturers, and postgraduate students in implementing scientific research activities at the University.

The training program comprised a series of presentations delivered by Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Party Secretary and Chair of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Khieu; Assoc.Prof. Pham Khac Lieu; and Assoc. Prof. Huynh Thi Anh Phuong. The content focused on developing research ideas, preparing scientific research proposals, writing and publishing research findings in national and international scientific journals, applying artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific research, and selecting appropriate scientific journals for publication.

In addition to theoretical content, the program placed strong emphasis on practical activities, exchanges, and discussions, providing participants with opportunities to share experiences and challenges encountered in implementing scientific research at their respective units. The learning atmosphere was serious and constructive, reflecting the participants’ proactive and committed engagement throughout the program.

In his closing remarks, on behalf of the University leadership, Dr. Bui Quang Vu acknowledged the participants’ serious and responsible learning spirit and reiterated the crucial role of enhancing research capacity, proposal development skills, and scientific publication competence in the context of higher education reform and international integration.

At the conclusion of the program, University leaders and instructors awarded certificates to participants who completed the training program on “Research Proposal Writing and Scientific Publication Skills”. On this occasion, the University also presented certificates to participants of the previously organized training course on “AI application skills in University teaching.”

The training program has strengthened research capacity, improved research proposal development and scientific publication skills, and promoted the application of artificial intelligence in teaching and research at the University of Sciences, Hue University.
