On the afternoon of December 24, 2025, the University of Sciences, Hue University, solemnly held a signing ceremony with Phusa Genomics Joint Stock Company and inaugurated the Open Access PCR Laboratory at the Faculty of Biology.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ngo Quoc Nam, Director of Phusa Genomics Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyen Kim Tung, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hue City; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Xuan Huy, Chief of Office of Hue University; Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Party Secretary and Chairperson of the University Council of the University of Sciences, Hue University; Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of the University of Sciences, Hue University, together with other members of the University’s Rectorate Board, leaders of affiliated units, representatives of high schools, partner enterprises, and a large number of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Biology.

Within the program, the outstanding scientific and technological achievements of the University of Sciences, Hue University, and Phusa Genomics Joint Stock Company were presented. In the spirit of cooperation for mutual development, the two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking an important milestone in education, scientific research, and practical application.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector of the University of Sciences, Hue University, emphasized that the cooperation agreement with Phusa Genomics Joint Stock Company and the official operation of the Open Access PCR Laboratory represented a significant milestone, reflecting the University’s strategic orientation toward enhancing the integration of training, research, and technology transfer. The laboratory is not only a modern research facility but also an open environment that enables lecturers, students, and scientists to access advanced technologies, conduct hands-on practice, and implement applied research projects, thereby meeting the requirements of higher education reform and international integration.

Right after the signing ceremony, the Open Access PCR Laboratory was inaugurated at the Faculty of Biology. The laboratory has been equipped with modern facilities and operates under an open-access model, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of education, scientific research, and practical applications in biotechnology.

The ceremony concluded successfully, opening a new phase of cooperation between the university and industry partners to promote innovation and enhance the quality of education and scientific research, particularly in biotechnology in the Central Highlands–Central Vietnam region.
