The Second Vietnam - China Journalism and Media Training Dialogue, themed “Cooperation in Journalism and Media Training in the Post-Digital Context,” was held on December 4, 2025, in Hue City. The event was organized by University of Sciences - Hue University (HUSC) in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The dialogue brought together leaders and scholars from nine universities in Vietnam and 18 universities and research institutes from China. This event served as a follow-up to the successful first dialogue forum held in Beijing in September 2024, further strengthening academic exchange and cooperation in journalism and media education between Vietnam and China.

At the dialogue, scholars and researchers engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues in journalism and communication in the post-digital context, including digital transformation in education; the integration of artificial intelligence and big data into training; multi-platform media operation models; competency standards for modern journalists; international cooperation models in the digital era; and solutions for enhancing training quality in line with digital transformation. Several contributions highlighted the challenges posed by the rapidly evolving media landscape while proposing directions for curriculum innovation to better align with professional practice.

In addition, the forum highlighted a range of proposals to strengthen collaboration among universities and institutions, including exchanges of students and faculty members; the establishment of joint research groups on digital media; sharing of academic resources and training materials; and the regular organization of international conferences.

The success of the Second Vietnam–China Journalism and Media Training Dialogue further reaffirmed HUSC’s role as a key connector in international cooperation, contributing to enhanced academic exchange and the development of high-quality human resources in journalism and communication in the post-digital context.
