On April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Environment, University of Sciences, Hue University, organized a solemn ceremony to mark its 25th anniversary, coinciding with the national celebration of 50 years of reunification (1975 - 2025). The event honored a quarter-century of pioneering efforts in environmental science and engineering education and research in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands.

The ceremony was graced by the university leadership, including Dr. Bui Quang Vu - Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung - Rector; and vice rectors Assoc.Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen and Dr. Phan Tuan Anh. Also in attendance were former leaders of the university, faculty members, alumni, and representatives from partner organizations and businesses.

In his address at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Hoang Cong Tin, Dean of the Faculty, reflected on the Faculty’s remarkable 25-year journey from its early days as a small department to becoming a reputable academic and research institution. Over the past quarter-century, the Faculty has trained nearly 1,000 bachelor's and over 200 master’s graduates in Environmental Science and Engineering, many of whom now hold positions in government agencies, international organizations, universities, and environmental enterprises. The Faculty currently offers doctoral training and new programs in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to meet emerging socio-economic needs.

In the field of science and technology, faculty members have led nearly 50 research projects and published extensively. Notably, the Faculty helped establish the Central Vietnam Centre for Environmental Research and Technology Transfer (CRET-HUE), bridging academic research with practical environmental solutions.
