In order to meet the training requirements of students in alignment with the demands of the job market and to provide opportunities for internships and employment for internships and employment after graduation, University of Sciences, Hue University, in collaboration with nine other universities and colleges in Hue city, has entered into a partnership agreement with AEON Vietnam. The signing ceremony took place on September 28, 2023, at Indochine Hotel, Hue City. The event was attended and witnessed by representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Thua Thien Hue Provincal People's Committee, various agencies and sectors within Thua Thien Hue Province, as well as representatives from AEON Vietnam. Specifically, there was the participation of over 200 students from the University of Sciences and other universities and colleges in Hue City in the signing ceremony. According to AEON Vietnam, this marks a significant milestone in preparing the workforce for AEON Hue, set to open in 2024.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Takeuchi Takashi, Deputy General Director of the office division at AEON Vietnam, stated, “AEON Vietnam is actively pushing forward its expansion plans in the Central Vietnam region, with the first project - AEON Hue, currently in the construction phase. In Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's recent official visit to the AEON Group in Japan, AEON evidently demonstrated its primary goal: to foster growth in the Vietnamese market and support Vietnam in training and developing its workforce”.

On behalf of the HUSC rectorate board, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung signed a cooperation agreement with AEON Vietnam to facilitate workforce training through internships and practical experiences at AEON. This collaboration involves organizing workshops and seminars focused on students' professional expertise and essential skills. Additionally, it encompasses offering scholarships and sponsoring academic activities for HUSC students.

In addition to the signing ceremony, AEON Vietnam organized a Talk Show titiled “AEON Future Leader Program 2024” to introduce and equip students with the knowledge and necessary skills for entering the retail industry. The event highlighted recruitment opportunities with various sectors of AEON, provided information about training programs for future managers at AEON Vietnam and in Hue, and prepare skills for working effectively in a multicultural environment…
