On the morning of June 16 2023, Dr. Phan Tuan Anh – Vice Rector of University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) had a meeting with the delegation from Kyoto headed by Mr. FUJIMAKI Hidekazu, Director of Kyoto’s Foreign Affairs Department.

Attending the event, there were Mr. WAKAYAMA Shuhei, Director of Ritsumeikan University Asean Office and Ms. Ton Nu Ngoc Y Nhi, Representative of Department of Foreign Affairs, Thua Thien Hue Province.

From HUSC, there were Dr. Tran Thi Phuong An, Deputy Head of Office for Science-Technology and International Relations; Dr. Tran Thanh Luong, Head Office for Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Cong Tin, Dean – Faculty of Environmental Science and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tung, Dean, Faculty of Architecture.  

At the meeting, the Kyoto Foreign Affairs delegation introduced Kyoto city, the education programs and scholarships of universities in Kyoto that aimed to attract students from Thua Thien Hue Province in general and students from HUSC in particular to study in Tokyo.

The both sides also discussed about various issues and specific solutions for effective cooperation in education, short-term training courses and internships that would create opportunities for HUSC students to study at universities in Kyoto, Japan.
