Student exchange program between University of Sciences, Hue University and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabaht University, Thailand
As part of the MOU between the University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), Bangkok, Thailand, a student exchange program was held at BSRU from December 9 to December 15, 2024. During this exchange, HUSC students from various faculties of Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Information Technology, and Literature, and 01 lecturer, successfully completed the program and were awarded certificates by the partner university.
During the 2024 exchange program at BSRU, HUSC students took part in a wide range of engaging and practical activities at a BSRU campus in Suphanburi Province. A highlight of the program was the collaborative work with first-year BSRU students, which included teamwork exercises, soft skills development, cultural exchanges, and outdoor games designed to enhance both physical and mental agility. Additionally, HUSC students had the chance to engage in hands-on experiences such as rice planting, making coconut candy, preparing honey tea, and crafting scented sachets for odor removal. These shared activities not only improved HUSC students' English communication skills but also introduced them to the Thai language and culture. They also had the opportunity to teach basic Vietnamese phrases to their Thai counterparts. It can be said that the greatest success of this exchange program was the deepened emotional bonds and the strengthened relationships between students from both countries.
After leaving Suphanburi, HUSC students continued their enriching journey with a range of exciting activities in Bangkok and Pattaya. They explored the traditional Bang Nam Pheung floating market, enjoyed beach games and local cuisine at the lively Pattaya beach, and visited the vibrant shopping hubs of Bangkok, including Siam Paragon and Icon Siam. With the enthusiastic guidance and support of BSRU lecturers and students, HUSC students also had the chance to visit iconic locations in Bangkok, such as Chinatown and the Chatuchak Weekend Market ect..
After the exchange program, HUSC students gained invaluable knowledge, immersed themselves in the richness of Thai culture, made lasting friendships, and received warm hospitality from the faculty and students at BSRU.
