Honoring ceremony in science and technology in 2023

On September 15, Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations celebrated ceremony to honor excellent science and technology intellectuals of Thua Thien Hue province in 2023.

The ceremony is a meaningful annual event hosted by the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations to honor intellecuals in the field of science and technology for their outstanding contributions to the science, technology and social-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province. In order to support the growth of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and the process of transforming Thua Thien Hue into a city under the jurisdiction of the central government, the ceremony seeks to inspire the group of intellectuals working in science and technology to keep up their efforts to strengthen their solidarity, foster intelligence and creativity, and engage in scientific research, technology development, consulting, and knowledge dissemination.

The activity has once again affirmed how important science and technology are to driving significant changes in socio-economic development. With the objective of becoming one of the nation's leading hubs for science and technology connected to the center of education, training, and medical care, Thua Thien Hue has built a development plan that includes goals, specific solutions, orientation to 2025, and vision to 2030.

Among 17 science and technology intellectuals of Thua Thien Hue province, three of intellectuals of Hue University of Sciences received the certificate of merit in 2023. They are:

  1. Prof. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung, Chemistry Faculty
  2. Prof. Truong Thi Bich Phuong, Biology Faculty
  3. Prof. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Geography – Geology Faculty
