Seminar “Human resource development in the care sector in Vietnam and Japan”
The seminar on Human resource development in the care sector in Vietnam and Japan was held at University of Sciences, Hue University on September 5.
Participants included leadership representatives of Yutaka Social Welfare Corporation, Lighthouse, Aikouen, Co-op Aichi and Hosei University in Japan; Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province; representatives of the university’s partners; Assoc.Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector; Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector; and leaders of the university’s offices, faculties, lecturers, and students.
Since September 2020, Social Welfare Corporations in the Aichi province of Japan have had a memorandum of understanding with University of Sciences, Hue University. Through training and employment cooperation programs between higher education institutions and social welfare businesses in Japan, the cooperation aims to foster human resource development in the care sector in Vietnam and Japan. Many of the students who took part in this cooperation program currently work for Japanese social welfare corporations. From July 31 to August 6, representatives of the university had the chance to visit the Social Welfare Corporations and meet the Vietnamese caregivers who work there, as well as to exchange cooperation opportunities with leaders from Hosei University, Japan, and sign a MOU between the University and the Corporations.
The seminar "Developing Human Resources in the Care Sector in Vietnam and Japan" aims to share and actively exchange as well as find appropriate ways to cooperate and coordinate in the current context to improve the quality of human resources in the care sector to meet the needs and requirements of employers in Japan and Vietnam in the future.
