On the evening of April 24, the closing ceremony of the 14th National Architecture Student Festival - HUSC 2024 marked the end of four days of vibrant and captivating events.
On the evening of April 24, the closing ceremony of the 14th National Architecture Student Festival - HUSC 2024 marked the end of four days of vibrant and captivating events.
Attending the ceremony, there was Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho - Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Thua Thien Hue Province.
The Festival was co-organized by Vietnam Association of Architects and University of Sciences, The event is a part of summer festival themed “Kinh thanh toa sang” (Hue Imperial City shines) as well as Hue Festival 2024.
The 14th National Architecture Student Festival - HUSC 2024 attracted over 800 lecturers and students from 26 universities across the country and 3 foreign institutions (Thailand and Japan).
With the theme “Hue – Youth with heritage”, the event observed the brilliance, enthusiastic energy, and unlimited creativity of young students.
During this four-day-long event, many creative activities associated with architecture heritages were organized, for instance logo deigning, pavilion, sketching, photo-taking, graphic designing contest, trips to Hue relics, “Di san kien truc trong dong chay phat trien” (Architectural Heritage in the Current Development Trend) workshop, “Ung dung moi vat lieu go truyen thong” (Applying traditional wooden material” workshop, etc.
The Organizing Committee presented prizes to students
These activities affirmed a breakthrough in heritage approaches. The young generation should be the primary force contributing significantly to the contemporary development of heritage, a perspective previously argued by traditional views.
In addition, they are the ones who contribute to preserving and developing the rich and unique culture as well as create a peaceful, supportive and integrated living space that harmonizes urban and rural development.
The festival also contributed to developing local unique trademark, introduced a new festival that inspires creativity, developed “cultural industry” and accompanied the country to the future with sustainable inner strength.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented first prizes, second prizes and third prizes to the winners of festival competitions. Besides, the hosting flag was given to Viet Duc University where the 15th festival season will be held.
