The rector warmly welcomed Prof. Fausto Pugnaloni
On 20 December, the delegates of the Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy led by Prof. Fausto Pugnaloni paid a visit to Hue University of Sciences
At the meeting, there were Assoc. Prof. Le Manh Thanh – Former Vice President of Hue University, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien – Rector, Dr. Nguyen Truong Tho – Head of Office for Science – Technology & International Relations and Dr. Tran Dinh Hieu – Dean of Architecture Faculty.
Hue University of Sciences and the Polytechnic University of Marche have established the cooperation since 2000, and achieved many good results such as academic exchange, joint research collaboration, staff’s capacity enhancement. Prof. Fausto Pugnaloni has played the key and important role for this cooperation between two universities. In 2010, Hue University conferred the Honorary Professor to Prof. Fausto Pugnaloni under the witness of the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province and Hue University.
Both sides proposed the cooperative contents to renew the MOU between two universities. Many contents were proposed by Prof. Fausto Pugnaloni and Hue University of Sciences; for example, the plan for scientific collaboration basing on the research results of the protocol project (Vietnam - Italy): “Survey on the basis of technological applications of geology, biology and information technology to serve the planning, reconstruction and development landscape of Quang Tri Citadel” coordinated by Hue University of Sciences and the Polytechnic University of Marche. Both sides also suggested other cooperative plans: organizing the scientific seminars at Hue University of Sciences in 2017 aiming at sharing information and research results for staff, graduate and undergraduate students of two universities; continuing to exchange staff and graduate students; broadening the collaboration in other fields beside architecture, history, geography, geology and environment.
